CORE stands for Campus Outdoor Recreation Experience. Through CORE, students can enjoy all kinds of activities, including skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, white-water rafting, and more! During my time working for CORE, I was tasked with updating the logo and rebranding to improve student engagement. I knew I needed to create something simple yet organic, and most importantly, timeless, so it would stay fresh and eye-catching for years to come.

I chose an organic sans-serif font to give it an "outdoorsy" feel and to keep it from looking too corporate. I designed a carabiner clip, a versatile tool commonly used in outdoor activities, to replace the "O" in CORE, connecting it directly to the program. Finally, I stuck with a dark, forest green as the main logo color, which pairs well with other earthy tones. This logo not only captures the adventurous, outdoor spirit of the program but is also practical for use across a variety of marketing materials.
